The Story of 2nd Love Saddles

Having worked alongside my wife, who is a Master Saddler, for the last five years I've noticed that a lot of great quality second hand saddles go unnoticed for lack of somewhere to buy and sell with confidence.

Online marketplaces provide a fine place to sell, but as a buyer you often want to try a saddle before you buy it to make sure it's a good fit for you and your horse. If it doesn't then you have to sell it on yourself and do it all again with another saddle. These marketplaces don't have the structure to be able to easily and confidently return the saddle so you can continue your search for that perfect saddle that you and your horse fall in love with.

As a seller, you just want your second hand saddle gone so you can use the cash for your next saddle. Maybe it's just collecting dust and you want the space back. In any case, the last thing you feel like doing is sending it out for trial after trial, hoping that it's ok if it gets returned.

So I thought, there needs to be a place that can deal with trials, returns and sales of good quality saddles without the fuss. Somewhere people can buy with confidence that the saddle isn't broken or needs repairs. 

And so 2nd Love Saddles was born. We have access to a highly qualified Master Saddler who is able to thoroughly check each saddle giving you the confidence that every saddle is in good condition and flocked to level before going out on trials or being sold. In addition, any second hand saddles with 2nd Love Saddles are able to go out on saddle fitting trips increasing protentional buyers, as well as being advertised on our dedicated website and Facebook page. We also have contacts for saddles in the UK allowing us to bring in a variety of options not easily available in New Zealand.
